Post Just wondering....
How many people are well versed in DeepFreeze and Anti-exe?

http://www.Faronics.com

Im thinking of a b0rger that can get around these programs, if someone disagrees with me, or just plain doesnt want it to be associated with THaD then please tell me and I'll just stop thinking about this.......but I do think I have it at least part-way figured out. I just need an extra expert to throw Ideas back and forth with....

ahh deepfreeze

beautiful peace of code...

there are three ways to get around deepfreeze, after having experimented with this over the past 2 years at my old school...

1. know the password (easiest). i worked for the "people in charge". you just give it the password, reboot, and the drive is unfrozen. amazing.

2. install in a different partition. we had a small partition to put student files and junk. it wasn't big (about 2 gigs), but it serves the purpose.

3. boot with cd/floppy that boots the program at startup. doable? i dont know much about windows startup procedures. perhaps get it unfrozen and put a batch in there......hmmm...

lol ok

1. Lets just say we dont know the pass, cause im trying to get around it not run through it.

2. Ok, in theory say there is only one partition on the HD (no stand-alone pagefiles or anything)

3. I dont want to actually have to keep booting from a floppy/cd either because that just about defeats the purpose.....and leave evidence if this is to ever be implemented.

I do appreciate the offer of advice, just it wasnt entirely what I was looking for. Thank You ;)

The batch idea may work, but its gonna be some werk :(

Im not sure if this will work but it worked on the security we had on our computers back in high school. Press the power button on the computer, normally this will start the windows shutdown procedure. If you press Windows Key + L (Workstation Lock) at just the right time you can lock out the workstation, however the majority of the processes will have been terminated. Key in your password to log back in. You will probably just get a black screen. Pull up task manager howerever you like to do so and click new task. Key in "explorer" this should recover you windows session w/o all the other crap that would normally be running.

nice idea. Ive also been able in the past with similar blocking programs to open up a program like word that they let you use... then do the file>open....
and then go navigate to your exe, like your borger... then right click and select "open".... or something similar, you get the idea.

may not work on the new age blockers, but it got us some good quake action about 6 or 8 years back.

good luck
